Questions About Our Trails?

Everything you need to know about hiking the Pálava hills at your own pace

Our trails are designed specifically for older adults and vary from easy (1–2 hours, minimal elevation gain) to moderate (2–3 hours with gentle hills). We match you with the right route based on your fitness level during booking.

Not at all. We've guided first-time hikers in their 70s and 80s on these trails. What matters is a willingness to walk at a relaxed pace—we're not racing anywhere.

You get a knowledgeable local guide who shares stories about the region's wine-making heritage, geology, and local plant life. Most walks include a rest stop at a scenic viewpoint, and we can arrange tastings or light refreshments at a nearby winery if you'd like.

Most of our popular routes take 2–3 hours including breaks and stops to enjoy the views. We can adjust timing based on your group's pace, and there's no pressure to rush.

Comfortable walking shoes with good grip, weather-appropriate layers, a hat, and sunscreen are essentials. We recommend bringing a small backpack with water and snacks. For more detailed guidance, check out our packing essentials guide .

Please tell us about any concerns when you book. We can suggest routes with gentler terrain, arrange for extra breaks, or even suggest shorter alternatives. We want everyone to enjoy the experience safely, so honest communication helps us support you better.
